Tag card. just for fun (Card week day 7)

So, this is the end of my card week - I hope you have enjoyed it. But fear not, there will be more cards coming later, at least one on Wednesday :-)
I have played at the Paper Issue Online Crop and some of the challenges were: cards!

I have this large, old stack of K & Company tags, and in my opinion they are perfect for cards:

Tag: K&Company. Patterned papers: Glitz Designs (blue), Lemon Owl (white/green). Butterfly:Websters pages. Trim: MME. Bling & ribbon: unknown

Some times mixing up manufactorers works perfectly!

Thank you for taking your time to stop by - you know it means a lot to me!

This layout is made for the latest challenge at The Studio Challenges:

As its so close to Christmas we want you to create Christmas layouts, easy right?! But there is a little twist, we want you to use non traditional colours for your layouts! Which colours will you pick?

I figured a depressive photo and theme needed depressive colors *lol*

And yes,  I know there is  a typo in the title - I just din't have time to make it up before the release! Can you find it?

Need inpiration to scrap Christmas photos, but not a fan of traditional colors? Please head over to The Studio Challenges blog to see the DT's take on the challenge, and to play with us. You have until Jnauary 4th (2015) to play along!

Yepp, that's correct: Dublin, Ireland. June 2014. You can't go to Dublin for the first time without visiting Guinness, the famous brewery!

I got the idea for this layout when I saw the October Challenge from Scrapfriends, three scrappers who cooperate about challenges - you can pick either one of them or combine two or three. I did all three.

Let's start with the sketch from Brenda:

I followed the sketch pretty close with just a few adjustments to make it my own.

Then Rochelle has a Tic-Tac-Toe board to inpire you:

I chose the horizontal line on top - here is some details to prove it :-)

Die cut & camera:

More die cuts & paper clip:

There are die cuts scttered all over this layout.

Finally, Kelly is throwing a word challenge

I picket the word Friends and used it as the title on my layout.

OK, Guinnes is a tourist trap, I knew it before we went there, but it was still interesting to see the beer making process! Do you visit tourist traps, too?

Forget- forgot - forgotten (CSI #109)

It seems like our family always forget something at home when we're going places, stuff which usually is easy to replace, but you still need to go out shopping for them: socks (Paris), lip balm (London), toothbrushes (any place and it's the kids who  forget them) etc etc.

When we went on our ski brake a  month ago, I was so busy remembering the kid's tooth brushes, that I completely forgot my own. And hubby his. Youngest kid managed to even forget his winter jacket...
This is what the journaling in this layout tells about.

Background paper: Scraphouse. Other papers: LYB, MME, BG, AC. Cut outs: October Afternoon, Glitz Designs. Tags: Chic Tags, Fancy Pants. Flair: The Paper Bakery. Paper clip arrow, epoxy stickers & fabric badge: Freckled fawn. Overlay frame: MME. Alphas: WP, OA, AC. Photo anchors & brads: unknown

How I sold the case:
*Colors: all used
*Evidence: Stack something (papers on botm left side), silver accents

Feathers! (The Studio Challenges Pinterest Challenge)

Wow, there is so many ways to get inspired by the October Pinterest Challenge at The Studio Challenges (TSC): the colors, the deco, the mask themselves etc etc. What is the first thing that comes to Your mind when you see this?

My first though was "feathers"! We have two budgies at home, and you have no idea how much feathers they leave!

In fact, I often use real feathers from the birds if I make a layout about them, but this time I din't have any on hand, so I used a large one from Bella Blvd.

Backround pp: Glitz Dsigns. Other pps: MME. Jourmaling Cards, bird trim & fabric bird: Websters Pages.
Chipboard: Maya Road. Wood frame: Kaiser Kraft. Flair: The Paper Bakery. Washi & other trim: unknown

Bird trim, fabric bird, journaling cards with a bird on, bird chipboards, wings chipboard - birds are all over in the scrapping industry, so it wasn't hard to find the right embellies for this layout.

What did come to your mind first when you saw the Pinterest image? Please head over to the TSC blog to see how the other DTers were inspired, and Our followers, too!
