Crowded. Not

This is a beach outside Civitavecchia, Italy, on a sunny Saturday mid September. Not very crowded *lol* It might have to do with the fact that it was rather windy, and quite early in the day.

Patterned papers: Bo Bunny. Enamel dots: MME. Umbrella brads: Eyelet Outlet. Cutouts & alpha: AC. Washi: unknown

We were on a cruise and the ship had a stop in the said town/harbour. We didn't want to spend the day on the bus to and back from Rome - we can go there anytime, it's just a few hours flight from where I live - so we decided to go to a beach instead.

Close ups:

Overlays are so fun to work with but so hard to photo without getting reflections. Grrr

The cutest ubrella brads ever?

The design is inspired by this fun sketch at My Creative Sketches:

All materials are from the September Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook, except the umbrella brads, alpha, washi and enamel dots - a perfect match for my photo and thme.

Thank you for stopping by - have a lovely week!

Smile and say cheese - large photo challenge at The Studio Challenges

Today, at The Studio Challenges, we want you to create a layout that focuses on the photo:

Please use a photo that is bigger than standard 4" x 6" size on your layout. How big can you go?!

Thes guys below are my two sons during a session with two professional photographers at a cruise earlier this fall. When I picked this photo as one of my favs, the photographers though I was crazy - was this something to keep? I knew it would be perfect for telling the story about the session and I love how this layout came out.

Papers: Echo Park (with cameras), October Afternoon (with caption). Vellum: Studio Calico. Brads: MME (Black), Eyeletoutlet (camera). Washi unknown. Hemp: my grocery store

Details:

I do apologize for the slighty angled image - I need to practise on taking good shots of my layouts :-)

Do you want to play with us?

Yepp, that's correct: Dublin, Ireland. June 2014. You can't go to Dublin for the first time without visiting Guinness, the famous brewery!

I got the idea for this layout when I saw the October Challenge from Scrapfriends, three scrappers who cooperate about challenges - you can pick either one of them or combine two or three. I did all three.

Let's start with the sketch from Brenda:

I followed the sketch pretty close with just a few adjustments to make it my own.

Then Rochelle has a Tic-Tac-Toe board to inpire you:

I chose the horizontal line on top - here is some details to prove it :-)

Die cut & camera:

More die cuts & paper clip:

There are die cuts scttered all over this layout.

Finally, Kelly is throwing a word challenge

I picket the word Friends and used it as the title on my layout.

OK, Guinnes is a tourist trap, I knew it before we went there, but it was still interesting to see the beer making process! Do you visit tourist traps, too?

Dublin (Sketch-N-Scrap #64)

In June I (and hubby) got to visit Dublin, Ireland, with the comapny I work for - a super fun city to visit: lot's of history and culture - and pubs and gigs *lol*

We took tons of photos, and I will create more layouts from this visit. The one below is the "front page" from our trip.

Chipboard, paper arrow, journaling cartd & large alpha: American Craft. Small alpha: Jillibean Sopu. Airplane brad: Eyelet Outlet. Cloud: Freckled Fawn. Ribbons: unknown.

I wanted a map as background to emhasize the city theme, but I was out of map paper! So what did I do? I took on of the official city maps, cut it to fit and covered parts of it with a semi transperant paper to make it less busy.

Details:

Journaling says: In June 13th - 15th we went to Dublin with Hilde's company. Not all hotels have red bat tubes in the middle of the rooms, but The Morgan has!

Did you notice the red bath tube?

I found the design for this layout at Sketch-N-Scrap, sketch #64, deigned by Lisa Hidy:

Later this week I will show how Norwegians party in Dublin, so please come back. These layout will be Pocket Scrapping style, just beacuase the tecnique is perfect for multiple photo scrapping. See you then :-)

Konfirmant (Sketch-N-Scrap August "Inspired by" sketch)

Do you, like me, have multiple photos you want to show in one layout, but have no idea how to arrange?

I had four photos from the photo shot at DS15's confirmation, and got the idea on how to arrange them when I saw this lovely "Inspired by" sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap, designed by Kelly Holifield

Here is how I used it (photographer credits: Jan Enoksen):

Patterned papers & cutouts: Lemon Owl. Washi: Freckled Fawn. Camera brad: Eyeletoutlet. Alpha: AC/Amy Tangerine
Buttons: unkinown
As you see I stayed close to the sketch, but replaced the large photo with four small.

Details:

Thank you for stopping by :-)
Do you have multiple photos on your desk too, just waiting for the perfect idea on how to use?
