Celebrating You (card)

I was lucky and won a grab bag full of Chic Tag yummies in December: tags, journaling cards etc.
I have played a lot with in on layouts, but I thought it was time to try them out on cards, too.

Background paper: Glitz Designs. Journaling card, tags & cutouts: Chic Tags.
Wire: my local florist. Owl & ribbon: unknown
3D foam adds depth to the card, and the wire structure.

The design was taken from Cardabilities sketch #94.

 Isn't this a fun one?

Thank you for taking time to stop by :-)

Hugs (Card - Cardabilities #93)

Hello again.

Today I have a new card for you :-)

Cardstock: Bazzil. Alpha: Basic Grey. Ribbon: unknown. Others: Freckled Fawn

This card was super easy to make: my starting point was coordinating washi and overlay and I just added a few more items.  I had this lovely Cardabilies sketch to get me going:

Do you prefer to work with coordinating collections, or do you prefer to put it all together yourself?

Cards for my mum Part III (Cardabilities sketch #92)

So I'm back on track making cards for my mum (see why here, and why I had to interrupt here).

Here is my next card for my mum:

Cardstock: Bazill. Cutouts & brad: MME. Flower: SEI. Ribbon & doilie: unknown

The inspiration is taken from Cardabilities sketch # 92:

Do you use sketches when you make cards?

Cards for my mum part I

My mum is my No 1 fan when it comes to my hand made cards (aren't all mums fans of their kids' creations?) and she always grabs some when she visits. Her taste is leaning towards cards with lots of  layers, so I thought it would be nice to make some specially for her - the Clean and Simple cards I usually make I'll keep for my own use :-)

My mum doesn't hoard the hand made cards, no she actually gives them away with presents, or send them if anyone need some cheering up - I like that!

Here is one of the cards I'm making for my mum , based on a sketch #91 by Cardabilities.

Papers from my pile of scraps. Chipboard: AC/Amy Tangerine. Woodvweeners & badge: Freckled Fawn

Do you give away  the cards you have made?

Christmas Cards part 3

Hi!

Today I have two Christmas cards in a more traditional style for you.

But let's start with my source for inspiration: this lovely sketch found at Cardabilities:

Card #1:

Patterned papers: Panduro. Pins: Maya Road. Pearls: unknown

Card #2

All papers: Kaiser Craft

Pre cut  pieces stacked to add some dimension. A little Sticles around the edge and on the ornaments makes it sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by - I'll be back with more Christmas cards in about two weeks, in the mean time I'll feature some  layouts and all purpose cards :-)
