Polaroid frame card (Card week day 1)

I spent the weekend making cards :-) I need some for myself, and my mum wants some, too, so I decided to just dive in and use up remains from kits and old stuff! I browsed my favourite challenge sites to kick start my mojo, and am going to share these inspirational places - and my creations - with you every day for an entire week! Today is day 1!

Let's start with a clean and simple card:

Cardstock: Bazill. Polaroid frame & stickers: Pebbles. Ribbon: unknown.
All materials except cs from MyCreativeScrapbook January kit

When I saw this sketch at CAS(E) this sketch, I imidiately thought of some paper polaroid frames I had laying around:

I just added left over paper clip stickers and yellow ribbon, and voila!

Close up to see the depth in this card (3D foam is a must have for me):

Thank you for stopping by, and please come back tomorrow for another card :-)

A classic: the toilet roll card - CAS(E) this sketch #60

I embrace new tecniques and materials, but some times it's fun to take a step back and reuse some of the old one know. Like toilet rolls.

Do you remember how hot it was to use them some years ago? I used them for cards, minis, tags etc - covered them with pretty patterned papers and embellished my heart out.

Over the years my taste and style has changed and developed, and using the rolls the way I used to feel so - - - old fashioned!

Here is my "today's" take on the toilet roll card:

Corrugated paper: Fancy Pants. Patterned paper: Lemon Owl. Flower hair pin: Freckled Fawn
Coral hemp: Hemptique. Other hemp & rubon: unknown

Toilet rolls don't get completely flat even when bonefolded at the edges. I don't mind :-)

I got the idea for this card when I saw this fun sketch at CAS(E) this sketch:

I don't think I need to tell how I interpreted the sketch *lol*

Have you reused some older stuff or tecniques lately?

Hello! Hello! Hello! (card)

The has been a package of stickers laying on my desk for a while. I have made a layout with some of the stickers, and a card, but I never got round to use the rest of them. But when I saw this great sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch, I knew exactly what to do:

I admit it, for the past year, just because life has happened a little too much, I haven't been the best to keep in touch with people. I wouldn't be surprised if I was sent a card like this - a reminder of giving a friend a call.

CS: Bazill. Hello-stickers: Pebbles. Washi: Studio Calico (?). Badge: Freckled Fawn. Hemp:Hemptique

Yes, I think I'll send this to myself, with a list of who I need to start socializing again with..
Could you need a card like this, too?

Christmas Cards Part 1

Do you think it's too early for Christmas cards? I actuallay do, but as I know the next month will be busy, I thought it would be wise to start right now. I send quite a lot, and sell some, too, so I need a few *lol*

To kick my mojo I started off by browing some of my favourite card challenge blogs.  At CAS(E) this Sketch I found this lovely sketch:

Here is this first card I made. This is my entry for the challenge:

Cardstock: Bazill. Foam glitter trees: Making Memories. Twine & stamp: unknown
Size: 4"*8"

When I know I need more cards I often made three based on the same idea - it't time efficient. But as I hate to do duplicates, they all turn out slightly different.

Here are two more cads based on the same sketch:

Cardstock: Bazill. Washi: Panduro. Anything else: unknown (from my stash)

Cardstock: Bazill. Stickers: Heartwarmingvintage. Overlay: unknown

Thank you for stopping by. Have you started making your Christmas cards yet?

PS. Come back on Thursday - I then will show some cards featuring chevrons and sequins.

"What happened?" - CAS(E) this Sketch #43

I was planning on doing layouts for some upcoming challenges last night , when I popped by CAS(E) this Sketch  and found this lovely card sketch:

I still had the Paper Bakery August kit on my desk, and I immidiately got an idea on how to use one of the cool stamps from the kit. So I pushed everything aside and made this card

All materials from the kit except cardstock - the fun papers are
Carta Bella and American Craft

Don't you love it when cards just create themselves?

Card week on my blog :-)

Hi!
It has been a while since I have created cards, and with school starting next week for the boys, it's time to make some again- I know there will be birthdays coming!

Mu mojo kicked in when I saw this lovely sketch at CAS(E) this sketch earlier today:

And here is my take on the sketch:

This card is very simple to make: the candles are made from rolled  2"*3,5" paper scraps (Studio Calico card kits). I used a pisley pattern dies (Lifetyle Crafts) for my flames, but you can cut them by hand if you don't have the dies.

Please come back on Thursday when I'll show a few examples on how to use 6"*6" chipborads on Cards :-)

Card time!

It has been a while since I have made cards - I had stocked up, and there was no need to make any.  Until Saturday. I then discovered I was out of boy's cards while preparing DS10's going to a double birthday party the day after.

Did I panic? No *lol*. I had a brand New card kit in my hands (Studio Calico) and I found this cool sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch:

And here are my two cards, created in no time with help from the sketch :

Tell me, what do you do if you need a card? DIY or run out to buy one?
