Happy colors (Scrap Battle Part 3)

The challenge for the European Scrap Battle Part 3, was to make an creation with lots of colors, but no black or white at all. That's a challenge, because lots of patterned papers have fine lines or print in either black or white. But I dug deep down in my pile of papers and stash and came up with this 6*12 layout:

The photo is showing parts of my favourite shirt from the cloth brand Desigual.

All ink and doodle work  is either in blue, purple or green - no black or white here :-)

The materials used on this layout are a true mix of all brands/manufactorers, so I chose not to name anyone this time.

I didn't make round four, my competitor had a stunning layout, but I'm fine - she deserved to win, too.

Have you ever made a layout (or card/ATC) with no black or white?

Scrap Battle Part 2 - I made it :-)

As you may now, I'm participating in the competition The European Scrap Battle.
I made the first cut, and made this layout for Part 2, where we were supposed to use a one word title to tell why we scrap. Here is my take on the challenge:

Background paper: Studio Calico. Other papers & cutouts: Lemon Owl. Button: MME. Small polaroid frame & pearls: unknown. Twine: The Twinery. Fiber: AC. Alpha: Crate Papers

Size: 6"x12"

Left part:
Title: Histories

Right part:
Journaling: "Yes, it is fun to play with pretty papers and embellies. But my true drive is my wish to tell our stories: 100 layouts = 100 stories

I made it this time, too, and I'm now battling in round 3.My entry for the next battle is submitted, but I can't show until late nex week, when the voting is over. Wish me good luck :-)

The card which didn't make the cut at the European Scrap Battle

I participated in the Card Battle, too. My layout made the cut for the second Battle, but not this card:

Patterned papers: Studio Calico. Stamp: Kaisercraft. See You Mask: Club Scrap
Pin: Webster's pages. Ink: Tsukineko. Pen: Zig. Ribbon: unknown

Close up photo on stamp/doodle tecnique:

The tecnique is very simple: I have used a grid stamp and outlined the pattern with small L-shaped doodles on the right side/upper side of the lines of the stamped parts (did that make sense?).

And I had fun making this card and that's good enough for me :-)
Have you stamped lately?
