Cherry Pickers

Our cherry trees carry more than we can eat, and as I still had several jars with canned cherries from last season, I didn't care about canning this year. The birds are happy, though! Honestly, they empty the trees within ten minuts when they discover the berries!

Saddle up (Scrap lift)

After my long scrapping break I found myself a little rusty: I still have the technical skills, but haven't been into doing my own designs for a while. I'm a big fan of sketches, and have always been, but scraplifting has taken it one more step further: watching designer's details and tecniques is so inspirational!

Paper Issues has a new scrap lift challenge every weekend, and over the next week I'm going to show my take on the April lifts.

Let's start with "Saddle up":

I was attracted to the general design and multiple photos, and chose to have a bottom border, too, to keep the layout balanced. Actually, scraplifting is pretty much like using a sketch: you take inspiration from it and make it yours as you feel like. No need to copy every detail!

I wonder what I was thinking when I bought these themed stickers. Who cares, they turned out to be handy :-)

Lovely old rubond from Basic Grey. It was time to use them, as they don't stick that good any longer when They get old.

Tons of Work (Scrap Lifting part III)

I am a garden junkie. I love digging, weeding, cutting and getting dirt under my nails. My long time goal is to have a pretty, low maintenance garden, but I I'm not sure if I'll ever get there :-)

One of the thinkg we do to keep weeds away/down is cover up areas with thick layers of bark. We haven'd refilled in ages, so last summer we needed tons to get back on track. Actually, me & the husband managed to get rid of this huge pile in just a short weekend, using nothing else but wheel barrels & shovels!

The design is taken from the base layout at one of the March Scraplift Challenges at Paper Issues. I just loved all the layers and the big bow!

In September our three year old cat Mercedes had four healthy, lovely kittens: Kalle, Figaro, Septima and Preben Mohammed. Here they are at six weeks old.

My mojo has been long gone, but it returned when I saw the awesome challenges at the Paper Issues Spring Crop, as seen on my previous blog posts. I got so inspired that I decided to dig into the Paper Issues (PI) March challenges as well. Every Sunday PI is hosting a lift challenge, so I did even two more, just to keep the mojo rolling. These next two I will showcase in the next to upcoming blog posts.
