Ready, set, go! The Studio Challenge joining up with Stuck!? Sketches

Today we have a special challenge at The Studio Challenges. You may have noticed we've moved our challenge ahead by a few days - this is beacause we have joined up with Stuck?! Sketches!

We have a lovely summery colour palette for you and Stuck?! Sketches have kindly given us a great sketch to create with.

Here is my take on the challenge:

Last summer DS11 got his own boat, a small RIB. We live at the sea side and he has spent hours on his boat. But the RIB wasn't perfect for him - he wanted a boat with more room for friends and a boat more convenient for activities like fishing, so he sold the RIB this spring and got hands on a 10 foot dinghy. The dinghy looked as new, even if it was second hand. All boats, small or large, need polish before going in the water:

Patterned papers & stickers: Amy Tangerine. Resin cloud, rubber banner & epoxy arrow: Freckled Fawn. Alpha: AC. Button: Jillibean Soup. White banner: unknown

I stayed as close to the colour palette as possible, but flipped the sketch :-)

Now, please head over to both The Studio Challenges and Stuck?! Sketches to see the the DT's lovely examples, play along and to learn how you can win amazing prizes from this months sponsors:

Stamping on layouts - The Studio Challenges

Hi - how are you all doing?

I decided a while back to take more or less off from scrapping for the summer, as there was so many other things I wanted to do, not only playing with paper (you know, unfortenately there is only 24h a day and 7days a week): gardening, spend time with the family etc etc. The good about the break is that I'll have tons of phots to scrap and stories to tell when I crawl back in my scrap cave :-)

So this blog is a little quiet right now, but every fortnight or it will be updated!

..................................

The latest challenge at The Studio Challenges is about stamping:

Stamping: time to get your stamps out and get stamping on your layouts, how many stamps can you get on your page?

I'm one of those scrappers who have lots of stamps, but who hardly ever use them. i have the best intentions, buy them - and then they just sit on my desk. But when I finally pull them out to play, I'm always happy with the result :-)

Patterned papers, cut outs & chipboard: Pink Paislee. Alpha: AC

Here are the stamps used on this layout + I used one imaging screws (upper left corner and lower right corner)

Stitch stamps: Close To My Heart. Grid stamp: Kaiser Kraft. Calendar & man stamp: ClubScrap

Another close up:

Is your phone more than "just a phone", too?

I used seven stamps only for my layout, but the rest of The Studio Challenges DT members used a lots more, one as many as thirty!

Head over to the blog to see the rest of the reveal and to play along!
